RECAP: Wolverines dominate Stampeders

The Waywayseecappo Wolverines got off the schneid, and put together their most impressive victory of the season with a 9-1 win over the Swan Valley Stampeders.

Eight different players scored for the Wolverines, to snap their three game losing streak, and get the team off to a much better start to the new week.

Sebastien Hicks, Max Collyer and Blake Farthing all scored in the first 5:40 of the game to make it 3-0 after the first period.

In the second period, Treycen Wuttunee and Dylan Duzan scored to make it 5-0 heading into the third.

The Stampeders got one on the board when Riley Fequet got one on the powerplay, but then the Wolverines got goals from Cole Hunter, Sebastian Stone and Rhett Perrin (2).

Mariko Bercier stopped 19 of 20 shots in the game for his second win of the year, while Samuel Bastien was kept in the entire game and stopped 30 shots while letting in nine.

The Wolverines were 2/5 on the powerplay, and killed off 4 of the 5 penalties.

Waywayseecappo will next head to Selkirk to take on the Steelers on Friday.
