RECAP: Special Teams lets down Wolverines against Titans

The Wolverines went up against a hot powerplay, and it was the difference in the game in Neepawa on Saturday night, as the Titans won 3-1.

The Neepawa Titans scored three powerplay goals on six attempts, to help shut down the Wolverines for the first 58 minutes of the game. Mason Lobreau stopped 34 shots for the win, and nearly got the shutout, until letting in a Sebastian Stone goal with 1:14 left in the game.

Dawson McCann, Cooper Kasprick and DJ Meloney all scored powerplay goals for the Titans, and beat Mariko Bercier, who had 22 saves in the game.

The Wolverines powerplay dried up as well, going 0/4 on the night.

Waywayseecappo missed out on an opportunity to tie the Virden Oil Capitals in the standings with a win, and now will have to wait till Tuesday to do so, although Virden plays the Winnipeg Blues on Sunday night. The Wolverines take on the Dauphin Kings on that Tuesday night in Dauphin.
