RECAP: Flyers run all over Wolverines

The Waywayseecappo Wolverines could not get anything going as they dropped a 5-0 decision to the Winkler Flyers on Friday night.

The Flyers never let off the gas the entire night, outshooting the Wolverines 42-19, with it being 31-6 after the first two periods. The only player keeping the game close, was Wolverines goaltender Jase Wareham which kept it a 1-0 game after two periods, until the floodgates opened in the third.

The penalty filled game had a total of 76 minutes of penalties, with the Flyers scoring on 2 of their 8 chances in the game, and the Wolverines going 0/6 in their chances.

Liam Carlone, Trevor Falton (2), Niklas Gudmundson and Aidan Grant were the goal scorers for the Flyers in the game. Leif Ekblad got the shutout, his first of the season.

The Wolverines will have to have a quick turnaround as they head to Winnipeg to take on the Blues on Saturday night at the RINK Training Centre at 7:30pm.
