The Waywayseecappo Wolverines are back on the ice after a short break thanks to the MJHL-SJHL Showcase, and will face the Selkirk Steelers for the final time this season.
The game is the first of a back-to-back for the Wolverines, as they finish their road swing with a game against the Niverville Nighthawks on Sunday evening.
Waywayseecappo enters the weekend two points back of the Virden Oil Capitals after two upset wins over the Dauphin Kings over the past week.
The Steelers find themselves in a similar situation, six points back of the Niverville Nightahwks in the East Division race. Selkirk ended up only winning two games in the month of January, beating Swan Valley and the Winnipeg Freeze.
The two teams haven’t played against each other since November, when they split a back to back during the week. Selkirk won a game earlier in the year in October, and at the time, it gave them a 10-0 start to the season.
