The Waywayseecappo Wolverines will start a stretch of important West Division games as they host the Swan Valley Stampeders on Monday afternoon as 4:00pm.
The Wolverines are playing the Stamps in a home and home that will be completed on Friday. After that Wayway will play Neepawa on Saturday, and then Virden on Tuesday.
The Wolverines find themselves three points back of Virden for the final playoff spot in the West Division. Virden also plays on Monday as they host the Winkler Flyers.
The Wolverines are only five points ahead of the Stamps in the standings, and could very well let them back in the conversation if Swan wins two games in a row.
The two teams have split the season series at two games a piece, with no games being particularly close so far. Each game has been at least a four goal win by either side.
The Stamps in the last 10 games have had a 5-3-1-1 record while the Wolverines are 4-5-0-1. Swan Valley is coming off a 4-1 win over the Freeze after losing 7-2 to Niverville the night before. The Wolverines are coming off a 6-2 loss to Winkler but beat the Winnipeg Blues 3-2 in overtime the night before.
