PREVIEW: Wolverines start busy couple days with game against Kings

The Waywayseecappo Wolverines will finally start their busy week, as they host the Dauphin Kings on Thursday night.

The Wolverines were supposed to start the week on Tuesday to take on the Winkler Flyers, but that game was postponed due to bad weather. Because of that, it will start against the Kings, and then roll over on Friday as they take on the Northern Manitoba Blizzard on home ice again.

The Wolverines and Kings have played twice this year, with the Kings coming out victorious both times. The first game was a dominating 8-0 win, but the Wolverines battled hard in the second game, taking a 4-4 tie into the third period, before the Kings scored halfway through the third.

The Wolverines last game was on Saturday as they lost to the Steinbach Pistons 5-0. The night before though, they beat Selkirk 7-4.

The Kings are coming off a split in the weekend as well, losing 4-2 to the Neepawa Titans, but beating the Swan Valley Stampeders 5-2.

The Kings are tied with the Blizzard for first in the West Division, while the Wolverines are six points back of Virden for the final playoff spot in the West.

The two teams will play once again before the end of the first half, playing in Dauphin on
