PREVIEW: Wolverines start another road trip against Blues

With their backs against the wall, the Waywayseecappo Wolverines will head to Winnipeg for the final time this season to take on the Winnipeg Blues.

The Wolverines are playing just a few days after losing to the Virden Oil Capitals 3-1 on Tuesday. The loss leaves the team five points back of the final playoff spot in the West Division, with the Wolverines having played one more game than the Oil Caps so far.

They are taking on a Blues team that they have beaten twice so far this year, having a 3-2 win in overtime and a 3-1 win on home ice.

Winnipeg is coming into the game winning just two of their last 10 games, and one of their last five. Their only wins have come against the Freeze and Neepawa.

This will be the first of three games over the weekend for the Wolverines. They will head to Winkler on Saturday before hosting the Stampeders on Monday at home. The Oil Capitals just play twice, with them heading to Neepawa on Saturday and playing at home to Winkler on Monday.

This will be the third game of four games between the Wolverines and Blues. The fourth and final one will happen in March.
