With 30 points each, the Waywayseecappo Wolverines and Virden Oil Capitals face off on Tuesday night for a chance to move up and take the fourth place in the West Division.
The two teams are tied facing off against each other for the first of three remaining games the rest of the season. Tonight will be the last game that they play in Virden. So far the season series has Virden with a 2-1 adavantage. The home team has won every game so far.
The Wolverines are coming off back to back wins against the Winnipeg teams, winning 3-2 in overtime over the Blues and 5-2 over the Freeze.
The Oil Capitals have had a good start since Christmas, with wins over the Niverville Nighthawks and Selkirk Steelers. They took a 1-0 lead into the third against the league leading Winkler Flyers, but ended up losing 4-1. They have been sparked after trading for goaltender Loic Morin. He has a 3-1 record with a .935 save percentage and 1.96 goals against average.
The next time the two teams will play is February 11th, before facing off again on February 25th.
