The Waywayseecappo Wolverines are heading to La Broquerie to take on the Steinbach Pistons for the final time this season.
The Wolverines are coming into the game on a three game win streak, after getting a 4-2 win over the Virden Oil Capitals on Tuesday night. With the win, the Wolverines move two points up on Virden for the fourth and final playoff spot in the West Division.
The Pistons meanwhile are tied for first in the East Divsion with the Winkler Flyers with 59 points. They have lost three of their last five games, but beat the Selkirk Steelers 4-1 in their last game.
In the three games so far, Steinbach has beat the Wolverines by a combined score of 13-3, beating Waywayseecappo 5-2 in their last meeting on December 14th.
The Wolverines are taking on the Pistons one night before taking on the Winnipeg Freeze on Friday night, for a back to back over the weekend. The Oil Capitals, are playing the Freeze on Thursday before taking on the Dauphin Kings on Saturday night.
The Wolverines have done slightly better on the road this year than on home ice, having a 8-10 record during road trips this year.
This will also most certainly be the last game that the Wolverines will have to play in La Broquerie as the Pistons will move into a new rink before the end of the year.
