PREVIEW: Wolverines look for two in a row against Blizzard

A night after beating the Dauphin Kings 4-2, the Waywayseecappo Wolverines will be awaiting the Northern Manitoba Blizzard at the Waywayseecappo Arena for Friday night.

The Wolverines will be taking on the other top team in the West Division, as the Blizzard sit tied for first with Dauphin with 31 points on the year so far.

The two teams have faced off against each other four times already, with the Blizzard having a 3-0-1 record. Only one has been in Waywayseecappo though, but the Blizzard won the game 2-0, with Marlen Edwards scoring both goals.

The Wolverines have been pretty successful in back to back games this year, beating some top teams in the first half. But they have lost every time in the second half of the two games. The Wolverines have gone 3-1 (after the Dauphin win, now 4-1) in the first half of the two games, but 0-4 the second half.

Waywayseecappo is now only four points back of Virden for the final playoff spot, with two games in hand. The Wolverines only face the Blizzard this weekend, meanwhile Virden plays the Winnipeg Blues.

The Wolverines and Blizzard will only play one more time after this game, playing in early January to end the season series.
