PREVIEW: Wolverines look for perfect weekend in Winkler

After a big win over the Portage Terriers, the Waywayseecappo Wolverines head to Winkler to try and complete a perfect weekend over some of the best teams in the MJHL.

The Wolverines held off a furious Terriers comeback to win 5-3 in Portage, helping the team get a three point separation for the final playoff spot in the West Division.

The Wolverines and Flyers have met three times this season, with Winkler winning each game so far. The two met a couple weeks back, with the Wolverines losing 6-2. The game was tied at two different points, and Wayway was only down by one heading into the third period.

For Winkler, the top team in the MJHL, they are coming into the game on a 8-game win streak. They have points in 34 of their last 35 games. They are four points up on Steinbach for first in the East and league.

This game will be the last road game for the Wolverines until the final night of the season, when the team travels to Dauphin.

The Wolverines are playing some of their best hockey down the stretch, winning five of their last 7 games.
