PREVIEW: Wolverines host Stamps for Truth and Reconciliation Game

The Waywayseecappo Wolverines will be wearing orange for tonight’s annual Truth and Reconciliation Game against the Swan Valley Stampders.

The Wolverines have hosted four of these games, going a perfect 4-0 with usually a big home crowd. The Stampeders will be the first team that will have played in this game twice, they first played in it in 2022.

The two teams will be going into the game coming off losses. For the Wolverines they lost 8-3 to the Winkler Flyers back on Thursday. They have had a weekend off since then. For the Stampeders, after coming off a big comeback victory in their first game of the season, they have lost three straight, giving up at least six goals each game, and losing 7-5 to the Winnipeg Blues on Saturday.

This will be the first game of six between the two teams this year. Three of those games will happen in the next month, as the two will be play two more times in October.
