PREVIEW: Wolverines host Oil Capitals in matinee

The Waywayseecappo Wolverines and the Virden Oil Capitals will came back together after the season opening weekend, to play another home-and-home series, starting Wednesday at 12:30pm for the team’s annual School Game.

The two teams are sitting on top of the West Division along with the Dauphin Kings with 8 points on the season, and all three have shown they might be the class of the division.

The Wolverines beat Virden 4-2 in the season opening game on home ice, before losing 3-1 the next night in Virden.

Waywayseecappo has alternated results throughout the season with no streak of such so far. Their last game was a 9-0 win over the Winnipeg Monarchs.

Meanwhile, the Oil Capitals are coming into the game with a three game winning streak, beating the Monarchs and the Swan Valley Stampeders twice in a row. Their last loss was on September 26th at home against the Niverville Nighthawks.

The next game between the two will be on Friday in Virden at 7:30pm.
