PREVIEW: Wolverines head to Steinbach

The Waywayseecappo Wolverines are heading to the brand new Southeast Event Centre to take on the Steinbach Pistons for the first time this season.

It will be the first time the Wolverines will play in that arena, after it opened late last year.

The Pistons come into the game with a 4-0-1 record, with their only loss coming to the Portage Terriers in overtime, losing 1-0. Their other games have been mostly blowouts, with two wins over the Winkler Flyers and two wins over the Winnipeg Monarchs.

The Wolverines (3-2-0) will be coming off a 7-5 win over the Swan Valley Stampeders on Tuesday for their annual Truth and Reconciliation Game.

The Pistons have yet to give up more than two goals in a contest this season. The same can’t be said for the Wolverines, who have gave up 13 goals in the last two contests, after just giving up 7 in the first three games.

Both teams are second in their respective divisions at the moment.

This will be the first of four games this season between the two, with two more happening in November before the season series ends in January.
