The Waywayseecappo Wolverines are heading on their final overnight road trip of the year, as they take on the Portage Terriers on Saturday night.
The Wolverines will be playing back to back road games, as they head to Winkler on Sunday night. Taking on two of the top three teams in the league.
The Wolverines are sitting in the fourth spot in the West Division, one point up on the Virden Oil Capitals for the final spot in the playoffs. With a loss on the weekend, the Wolverines will leave the Oil Caps in control of their own fate. Virden will not play again until Tuesday.
For Portage, they are sitting third in the East Division, four points back of Steinbach for home ice advantage in the first round of the playoffs.
The two teams have played three times this season, with the Terriers winning every game so far. The results of the games have been 5-2, 4-2 and 3-2 in overtime.
