The Waywayseecappo Wolverines will finish their seven game road swing with a game in Niverville to take on the Nighthawks.
The two teams played some entertaining games at the end of the 2024 before the Christmas Break, with back to back games with each team winning one.
The Wolverines beat Niverville in overtime 3-2, but ended up losing a couple nights later, losing 5-4 in regulation after giving up four in the third period.
Both teams are in playoff races, but the Nighthawks are sitting more comfortably in the fourth spot in the East Division, six points up on Selkirk with a game in hand. The Wolverines are tied with Virden for the final spot in the West, but has played one more game than the Oil Capitals. Virden plays on Sunday as well, against the Winnipeg Blues.
The Wolverines are coming into tonight’s game a night after beating Selkirk 5-1. The Nighthawks will be playing their first game since the MJ-SJ Showcase, but have won their last two games, and got points in the last four.
This will be the final game between the two teams this year.
