The Waywayseecappo Wolverines will be looking to get a win after their loss to Selkirk on Friday night, as they head to Portage la Prairie to take on the Terriers at Stride Place.
The Wolverines continued their streak of alternating games in getting points and then not getting points from the start of the season after losing to Selkirk just days after beating the Swan Valley Stampeders. Their record sits at 6-7-1 with 13 points, which is three back of Virden for second in the division, but five points up on fourth.
For the Portage Terriers, they sit in fourth place in the East Division at a 8-4-1 record with 17 points, which would be good for first in the West if that was the case. They are coming off a win on Saturday night to the Winnipeg Blues, beating them 5-3.
This will be the first of four matchups on the season between the two teams. They will play again on Thursday back in Waywayseecappo. The other games will happen on November 22nd in Portage and then lastly on January 24th in Waywayseecappo.
