Waywayseecappo Wolverines defencemen and assistant captainĀ Lucas Perry has committed to the University of Alberta Augustana to play university hockey.
Perry, from Edmonton, Alberta, has played with the Wolverines for the past two seasons, being named the Unsung Hero of the Year for the team in his first year, and then being named the team’s defencemen of the year in his second year. He was also invited to the MJHL-SJHL Showcase.
In his career with the Wolverines, he had 11 goals and 27 assists in 88 games. He started his junior hockey with the Nipawin Hawks.
Lucas will be suiting up for the Vikings next season, which is based out of Camrose, Alberta and plays in the Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference.
The Vikings rosters last season consisted of a few former members of the Wolverines, which include Leyton Smith, Owen Wheatley, Conrad Phillips, Gerrick Ripley and Garett Zasitko.
