The Waywayseecappo Wolverines have signed defenceman Tavon McCorrister (’06) for the 2026-27 season.
McCorrister, from Winnipeg MB, played with the Amarillo Wranglers of the North American Hockey League and had 5 assists in 38 games. He played with the Notre Dame Hounds the year before that, putting up 9 points in 40 games.
He has played with the Winnipeg Blues and OCN Blizzard in the MJHL as well during his junior career.
“I chose to sign with Waywayseecappo cause I’ve heard nothing but the best coming from current and alumni players about the culture, community and organization,’ said McCorrister. “I can’t wait to get back into the swing of things and get to work and make an impact on and off the ice.”
The rights of the 6’5′ d-man was acquired by the Wolverines last summer in a trade with the Warman Wolverines.
