Max Dawson signs with Wolverines

The Waywayseecappo Wolverines have signed defenceman Max Dawson (’09) for the 2026-27 season.

Dawson, from Thompson, MB, played for the Under-18 Brandon Wheat Kings last season, and put up 42 points (6 goals, 36 assists) in 46 games. He also suited up for Team Manitoba at the National Aboriginal Hockey Championships in Regina, and had 7 assists as he helped the team win Gold at the event.

“Max is a smooth skating, two-way defenceman who moves exceptionally well around the ice. His skating ability and poise with the puck will make him a valuable addition to our lineup,” said Head Coach Landyn Cochrane. “We look forward to help continue his development throughout the season.”

“I am very grateful for this opportunity to join the Wolverines, and I am super excited to get going,” said Dawson. “I want to thank Landyn, and the rest of the Wolverines organization for giving me this opportunity to play in front of the best fans in the MJHL.”

We would like to welcome Max and his family to the Wolverines organization.
