Late game scoring leads Wolverines to win

In a game that was streaky for both teams, the Waywayseecappo Wolverines came out on top with a 6-3 win over the Swan Valley Stampeders.

Kobe Campbell, Troy Hamilton and Caleb Petrie all picked up two goals each in the win.

Wolverines goaltender Tresor Wotton started in his first MJHL start of his career, and picked up the win with 29 saves on 32 shots.

The Stampeders got goals from Jackson Betcher, Jamie Valentino and Lare Pahtayken.

Kobe Grant picked up the loss in relief, as he came into the game just over six minutes into it after Dylan Black was pulled after letting three goals in in the first six minutes.

The Wolverines got out to a 3-0 lead early on in the game, but Swan Valley came back throughout the next periods to tie the game early in the third. But three goals in last 9 minutes of the game led the Wolverines to the victory.

Both teams play once again in Swan River at 7:00pm on Saturday.
