Joe Brandon Cup Caps Off Exciting Main Camp In Waywayseecappo

A very intense weekend of Wolverines Main Camp was capped off on Sunday night with the Joe Brandon Cup being awarded to the winner of the organizations Top-40 game.

Team McLeod scored four goals in the third period on their way to capturing the 2nd Annual Joe Brandon Cup after edging out Team Collins 6-3.

After a scoreless first period, both teams settled in and found their game. Guy Rozin scored to give Team Collins a 1-0 lead with the lone assist coming from Braden Keeble. Caden Zaplitny took a pass from Carl Ingalls and knotted the game up at 1-1. Cameron Trimble and Matthew McLeod connected to give Team Collins the 2-1 lead. Before the end of the second, Tanner Lins would tie the game up at 2-2 with his unassisted marker.

Colby Joseph would give Team Collins a 3-2 lead early on in the third period with his unassited goal.

Team McLeod would storm back and score four straight goals to take a 6-3 win. Cameron Jones and Tanner Lins hooked up to tie things up at 3-3 before Caden Zaplitny and Carl Ingalls hooked up once more to give Team McLeod a 4-3 lead.

Miguel Bouvier would put Team McLeod up by two with Caden Zaplitny and Brandt Young chipping in with the helpers. Wyatt Tweet would cash in on the empty net to give Team McLeod a 6-3 win when it was all said and done.

The Wolverines will cut down numbers on Sunday night before the club hosts the OCN Blizzard in Waywayseecappo on Monday night at 7:30.
