The Wolverines are looking to get back in the win column after a couple of defeats over the weekend, losing to the Portage Terriers 3-2 in overtime, and then against Neepawa 3-1. They take on a Dauphin Kings team that has won five straight since losing to the Wolverines back on November 21st.
TONIGHT’S MATCHUP
The Wolverines face the Kings, who they have played three times so far this season. After an embarrassing first game in Dauphin, losing 8-0, the Wolveirines have bounced back, with a 5-4 loss and then a beating them 4-2. The Kings sit first in the West Division with 41 points with a 20-6-1-0.
LOOK BACK
The Wolverines lost to Neepawa 3-1 on Saturday night, giving up three powerplay goals and nearly being shutout, until scoring with just over a minute remaining. The Wolverines peppered Mason Lobreau with 35 shots in the game, and he stopped all but one.
LOOK AHEAD
The Wolverines will head on the road once again on Friday, taking on the Titans before coming back on home ice to play the Steinbach Pistons on Saturday night. Before the Christmas break, they will play a home and home with the Niverville Nighthawks to finish off the 2024 portion of the schedule.
