Waywayseecappo Wolverines defencemen Tootoo Fotheringham committed to playing NCAA Division 3 Hockey at Southern New Hampshire University.
Fotheringham, from Winnipeg, MB, was brought to Waywayseecappo halfway through the year after stops with teams in the NAHL and NA3HL the year before. He also suited up with the OCN Blizzard and the Red Lake Miners of the SIJHL.
The 20-year-old had a goal and seven assists in 46 games this year for the Wolverines.
“When I first watched Tootoo play saw a player that we needed here at SNHU. I saw a player that would put his body on the line every shift and do everything in his power to win a puck battle for his team,” says SNHU Assistant Coach Matt Osgood. “He brings a physical aspect and toughness that is hard to find these days, we are beyond excited to see how Tootoo will develop under us for the next four years”
The Southern New Hampshire Penman are based out of Hooksett, New Hampshire and play out of the Ice Den Arena.
