Team Manitoba will be full of players of the Waywayseecappo Wolverines and future Wolverines at the National Aboriginal Hockey Championships in Kamloops, BC next week.
Mikey Thomas, Noah Oughton and Gage Sutherland will be competing with Team Manitoba as the tournament kicks off on Monday with the team taking on Team Saskatchewan and Team British Columbia on the first day.
Also joining the team is Hank Thompson, who signed a letter of intent with the Wolverines for next year and Gavin Quennelle, also signed for next year. Both were drafted by Waywayseecappo in 2024.
For Thomas, he will also be given the captain’s ‘C’ for the tournament.
The Team Manager is also the Wolverines Director of Hockey Operations and Head Scout, Kevin Monkman.
