On October 26th, Manitoba Public Health Officials advised Waywayseecappo First Nation of a positive case of Covid-19 detected within the community.
In a meeting with local health authorities and Waywayseecappo Chief and Council, it was agreed upon that the hockey club would continue playing their upcoming scheduled games without interruption.
However, for the foreseeable future, the Wolverines will keep the doors to the public CLOSED.
As much as our players love playing in front of our incredible fans, we feel it is of utmost importance to do whatever it takes to protect our community members and our players.
Moving forward, the Wolverines would like to remind fans to follow the guidelines put in place by our elected officials here in Waywayseecappo. With cooperation, we will defeat this pandemic and have our doors open to you again this season.
In the meantime, we would like to encourage fans and community members to show their support for our team virtually as we continue to chase our organizational goal of winning a Manitoba Junior Hockey League Championship.
