BILLETS
A Message From The Billet Coordinators
There are several very important aspects to operating a successful Junior 'A" hockey franchise. We feel that one of the vital components is to provide a comfortable living environment for each one of our players. As an organization we strive to find homes that will expose our players to a positive family environment.
The experience of being a billet family can be a very positive experience that we would like for you to consider for the 2007-2008 season.
In their billet homes the players are encouraged to become involved with the family that has so generously welcomed them. As a member of the household the players are expected to share in the daily chores as well as maintain their own rooms and do their own laundry. On occasion the players may have to look after their own meals if their billets are away at work.
The players will have a very structured schedule for the entire time they will be placed in your home. The team has practise every day, except on game days. There is also a strict work-out program for the players to follow throughout the season. Some players may still be in school and others are encouraged to find part-time work. The team has a set curfew that all of the players need to abide by in order for our team to be a success.
To help with the expenses of housing one of our players the Wolverine organization will provide a $300.00 allowance per player per month,as well as 30 game day tickets per player.
If after considering the possibility of welcoming a player into your home and you have more questions please do not hesitate to contact one of our billet co-ordinator or the team office.
